It explains that Compunnel, as your Employer of Record, may collect and verify background information about you, consistent with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy law. It is kept separate from our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Employee Handbook.

1. Background Check Disclosure

In short

Before you start work, Compunnel may collect and verify background information about you — consistent with Canadian privacy law — through a background-check provider. This page explains that; you give your consent in the SquadCompass app.

Compunnel (acting as your Employer of Record in Canada) may engage a background-check provider to verify information you provide and to conduct checks permitted under applicable Canadian federal and provincial law, in connection with your engagement as a Compunnel employee placed through the SquadCompass platform.

Checks may include identity verification, work-eligibility confirmation, and, where applicable and lawful, criminal-record checks.
